Between you and me, my end was a tree

Some saw me as a clown, some saw me wear a frown

But when all said and done, my emotions could not flee, I went to the hillside and climbed a tree.

It was never my plan, it wasn’t at all, but life has a way of creating a stall. I married for love, but there was none, yet with my kids, I tried to have fun

But that was met with a fierce opposition, I fell into a deep dark depression.

I didn’t see it coming the ice was so thin, a night in August had me looking from the outside in.
I MARRIED FOR LOVE, BUT THERE WAS NONE, YET WITH MY KIDS, I TRIED TO HAVE FUN

BUT THAT WAS MET WITH A FIERCE OPPOSITION, I FELL INTO A DEEP DARK DEPRESSION.
I DIDN’T SEE IT COMING THE ICE WAS SO THIN, A NIGHT IN AUGUST HAD ME LOOKING FROM THE OUTSIDE IN.
I married for love, but there was none, yet with my kids I tried to have fun. When they were gone, I lost hope, went to the store and bought some rope.

Drove to the mountains away from the city, I was tired of sitting in self loathing and pity

I climbed to the top as far as I could go, I was ready to end it all. Took out the noose, I tied it right, still wondering how there was so much spite. And soon, I met my fate on the 15th of June.

I now sit and wait on the other side, after being forgiven for my suicide. Hope to see my kids it’s sorry I’ll say, my pain was unbearable on that June day.

Between you and me, my end was a tree. But I’m alive just wait and see.

I’ll see you again it’s true, and we will have fun like I tried to do.
